I get the same thing (ish) on Lucid:
[784301.751891] ath9k: timeout (100000 us) on reg 0x9860: 0x00049d19 & 0x00000001 != 0x00000000

[784301.751917] ath9k: Unable to set channel

[784302.172896] ath9k: Could not kill baseband RX
[784302.294381] ath9k: timeout (100000 us) on reg 0x9860: 0x00049d19 & 0x00000001 != 0x00000000
[784302.294390] ath9k: Unable to reset channel (2417 Mhz) reset status -5
This was after 9 days of fairly average usage (no big downloads or
anything.) Kernel is 2.6.32-16-generic on amd64.
My network card is an edimax pci card. Router is billion BiPAC 7300N
running in wpa/psk mode with g and n modes enabled.
I notice I also got: [784302.172896] ath9k: Could not kill baseband RX
Again, reloading the module fixed the issue.
