Yes on latest release (as of 05/01/10)

Tested kernels linux-
image-2.6.34-020634rc6-generic_2.6.34-020634rc6_i386 and linux-
image-2.6.34-999-generic_2.6.34-999.201005011008_i386

Same problem.  Same crash

This bug is directly related to the issue of Toshiba laptops' ACPI
conflict with the linux kernel.  This has been discussed extensively in
Ubuntu Forums.  Please see the thread "Toshiba L505D ACPI issue with
9.1/9.04" in that Forum.
