it's not limited to just DVD drives. I had this show up on 2 of my
harddrive in my mythbuntu box

I pulled out my 500Gb because I thought it was going bad, my system locked trying record thursday and friday night.
I think there is a bug in the sata driver/lib related to load.
Right before I pulled out the drive, I tried coping my recordings to my main drive 5 files in and the kernel faulted, the last file was 6.5Gb. with the same error as above with a ata3
