I'm running the latest upstream kernel (2.6.34-999-generic #201005011008 SMP Sat May 1 09:09:57 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux) and I'm still having this trouble. It just happened about 5 minutes ago at approximately 21:11.  I don't know exactly what you need to see in terms of logs and I don't really see anything that stands out. Nevertheless, I've attached the messages log from 20:49 up until the computer froze and then did a reboot. Let me know what else you want or need to see and I'll attach them.
