I have a Dell 131L laptop, ATI Radeon Xpress 1150, 256MB Video RAM with
something that seems to be this same problem.

I installed Lucid AMD 64 Server, and chose the UEC Install.  Everything
went fine, the unit came up with the login after the full install.

However, upon boot the first reboot, the aforementioned message flashes
by very quickly, and then the screen fills with thin, colored vertical
lines.   It's not clear of the system is continuing to boot, but it
seems like it just locks up and that's that.

I only caught the message by making a video of it and freezing the
frame.
