Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-image
The problem occured first after I upgraded from Kubuntu 9.10 to 10.04.
I cannot play back Video anymore properly on my ATI Radeon Mobility M6.
The XV driver is not available anymore..I found out that the problem is
caused by KMS, which is now enabled by default. The graphic driver or
chip does not support XV when KMS is enabled.
Adding the boot parameter "nomodeset" to /etc/default/grub fixed the
problem.
Maybe the kernel should care the limitations of these affected old
chipsets.
