This bug hits me too, AR9285 rev01.
I've had Kubuntu 10.04 RC on here, experienced packet loss.
Arch with 2.6.33 kernel, there was no packet loss, however if traffic got heavy experienced a kernel panic.
Arch 2.6.34rc5, back to packet loss.
Tried installing compat-wireless, no help.
However have noticed that, as I have an xp driver loaded into ndiswrapper (but wont connect to any ap's) if i modprobe ndiswrapper then unload it, connection will stabilise. That's how I work with my card now. Not ideal but saves me from buying an external wifi card :/
