Hi Jeremy,

I've installed Ubuntu Lucid amd64 and tried to reproduce de issue.
It is working better compared with the previous version, but it is still being a little erratic.
My kernel is:
Linux cagadita 2.6.32-21-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 16 08:09:38 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I also ran the apport command as you wrote.
