I've tested Kernel 2.6.34-020634rc6-generic from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/. Sadly with a white
Screen, too.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
  
- With KMS enabled, no Fullscreen 3D games are possible. I only get a
- white Screen, the System does not respond. I can change to tty1, but I'm
- not able to kill the hanging Application. Only restart is possible.
