Tested Karmic kernel: linux-image-2.6.31-020631-generic_2.6.31-020631_amd64
* system wouldn't boot first time. keyboard not responsive
* system boots second time. no keyboard. no mouse. had to use hard reset.

Tested Karmic kernel: 2.6.31-21-generic #59
* Ubuntu respects screen brightness set during BIOS post/doesn't reset to 100% brightness when X starts
* Can not change brightness while in Ubuntu. Applet does not show using hotkeys
* hyperthreading working
* power management working
