Public bug reported:
This is likely the same issue as #550479
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/550479 the symptoms
are 100% identical. I am creating a separate report rather than updating
the other as suggested by apport-collect.
The laptop will perform normally until you issue a suspend command either through the menu or by closing the lid. The machine will attempt to suspend, the screen will blank and the LEDs will flicker until it hangs up with just the suspend "moon" icon flashing.
When I boot back up I notice that network-manager has disabled
networking for some reason, this always happens after crashing when
trying to suspend. I have tried suspending with networking disabled but
it did not help.
