For what it is worth, in Lucid (10.04) Toshiba Tecra S5 suspends and
resumes without any tweaks using nouveau.

For nvidia-current (195.36.15), I modified "/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d
/98video-quirk-db-handler" and added "--quirk-s3-mode" and "--
quirk-s3-bios" to "elif using_nvidia" and "elif have_nvidia_g80"
sections. Without those quirks, this machine (despite the Quadro NVS
130M being G80 class hardware) would not resume from suspend.

I attached the modified file as well.
