** Description changed:
My computer has an onboard Parallel printer port and an second printer port on a NETMOS pci card
in Karmic (9.10) I cannot print on the printer connected to the PCI card, the printer works fine when connected to the other port.
I've run the live cd of 7.04,7.10,8.04,8.10,9.04 , and i can install and print to the printer connected to the pci card on each .
I've also tried printing to the pci port using a live cd session of 9.10 but it did not work either.
using this post from ubuntufurom.org as a guide ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1304178&highlight=netmos+pci+card ), I collected some information in each live cd session and noticed that in karmic , two ioports are loaded for parport1 but only one in each of the others.
