Well, I’m sorry for not answering, I had forgotten this bug :/

I think that since Jaunty, maybe since Intrepid, I haven't been
disconnected (even using p54usb). So this issue clearly doesn’t remain
in the current Ubuntu release.

Unfortunately, I can’t make any verification now because I had to send
my wifi key back to my Internet provider a few months ago. But there’s
no reason for this issue to have come back in Lucid, is there ?
