In the meantime I tried with the mainline-kernel 2.6.34-999-generic and
so far it seems the problem doesn't exist here.
** Summary changed:
- instable wifi connection transfering data
+ wifi connection loss when transfering data
** Description changed:
Since upgrading from karmic to lucid I'm having problems with my wifi
- connection. I'm using a laptop with an intel 3945. It connects without
- problems to open as wpa or wep2 secured networks but loses connection
- after some time. In most cases this will happen when transfering data
- like downloading files or streaming media. Sometimtes I can reconnect
- via network-manager, sometimes I have to unload and load the kernel
- module (iwl3945) before it will reconnect to the network. The problem
- occurs with the current kernel 2.6.32-22-generic as well as with the two
- older versions 2.6.32-21-generic and 2.6.32-20-generic.
