Same isssue here on 10.04LTS.

Installed the package of Bhavani
(ifenslave-2.6_1.1.0-15ubuntu1_amd64.deb)

Bonding of 4 NICs (802.3ad) now works like a charm, even after a
restart. +1 for SRU!
