Perhaps this may help your analysis.

I've got another PC ( CPU1: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU  230   @ 1.60GHz
stepping 02)  which is running Ubuntu 9.04, with kernel:

2.6.28-18-generic

In the syslog there's also quite a number of the same messages:

CIFS VFS: ignoring corrupt resume name.

Any more information needed?
