Same problem here with suspend and resume on a Lenovo T400 after dist-upgrade to Ubuntu 10.04. It seems like it works fine ONLY if usb devices are detached and the sd-card is been removed. Seems like a problem with module reloading at wakeup...
However i freshly compiled a 2.6.34 kernel today, with the same problem...this is bugging the hell outta me...;-)
At least 2.6.34 kernel seems to be more energy saving for my laptop then the 2.6.32-generic one. :D
