I tested with:
linux-image-2.6.32-02063211-generic_2.6.32-02063211_i386.deb
the error on boot happen the same.

The bug is about the boot process that stop and wait a user imput (press
S), while it can simply write the error on console and log and continue
the boot without user intervention.

** Description changed:

After installation of 10.04 LTS kernel 2.6.32-22-generic, on boot I got
  a screen with error:

"An error occurred while mounting /proc/bus/usb
Press S to skip mounting or M for manual recovery"

Manual recovery bring me to the console but it unusefull.
Pressing S will continue the boot normally. All USB devices seems working.
The problem is that the boot process need assistance pressing S every time and do not automatically continue.
