I have the same problem. However, using ethernet connection. I have wi-fi router, connected to my WISP(wireless ISP). My laptop connected to router through ethernet. When I leave one torrent file for seeding for a long time, I couldn't use internet any more even after closing Transmition. Reboot helps to solve the problem. I have Windows 7 as second OS, and there is no such problem. I'm new in Ubuntu. I installed fresh Ubuntu 10.04 distro last week. So, if you need some logs, please provide details, how can I make them.
Thanks,
Sergei
