Can confirm in Ubuntu 10.04; Works with the ath5k drivers but very sporadically - connectivity is poor, range is poor and there is heavy packet loss. 
On trying out the madwifi drivers and the ath_pci drivers (through ubuntu's hardware drivers feature) wireless does not connect to a network. 
Can confirm the bug in the latest release of Linux mint also.
