I still experience this problem with Lucid on the acer travelmate 8000:
if I clear the "nohz=off" from the grub line, the system boots but
freezes quite soon. Moreover, the system can suspend but after resumes
it, again, freezes quite soon. I attach the dmesg after the suspension-
resume.
