Hi there.

I just installed the above  conexant.deb workaround on a 2.6.33-realtime
kernel manually upgraded to Alsa 1.0.23 ( with latest driver snapshot
from Takashi Iwai)  on a T60P.

The Unkown symbol issue still exists. thinkpad-acpi just dies. 
Anything I can do?

BTW: I maintain an Alsa Upgrade script for the community over here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6589810
          Would be nice to find a solution for the issue. The community will appreciate it.
          And, I do have a strange feeling that thinkpad-acpi depends that strong on Alsa. This will cause trouble all the time in the future, I'd guess.
