  mic volume doesn't appear.
  
  i get it working  editing my
  
  
  kdesudo kate /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
  
  
  and i have added
  
  options snd-hda-intel model=lenovo
  
  
  getting a lots of stuff that i have not but ... i have the mic controller so at least i can use it . (I Have a toshiba....)
  
  
  on karmic it was working fine.... without this modify
