I can confirm that this bug exists until now. Laptop Compaq CQ61-210SQ
with hard drive WD2500BEVT. Tested Ubuntu 10.04 and Fedora 13, generally
in Linux temperature of HDD quickly go to 55-56 degrees with CPU fan
always on(set in BIOS). This is with skype and xchat. Under Windows XP
it is 44-45 degrees in same conditions. Will be good if some Linux
specialist find cause of this extreme temperature.
