The flag is already set in Maverick, please test with that kernel.  If
this works to your convenience the bug will be back ported to Lucid.

To install:

ubuntu at beagleboard:~$ sudo dpkg -i linux-
image-2.6.34-5-omap_2.6.34-5.12_armel.deb

Once extracted keep in mind to update the uImage and uInitrd before
rebooting.
