Can someone point me toward documentation for "data=alloc_on_commit"?

I am getting 0 byte files after system freezes on Ubuntu 10.04.01
(amd64) with kernel version 2.6.32-25. Just want to understand how one
uses alloc_on_commit and how it works before I use it, and I can't find
any proper documentation for it, just a few brief mentions in articles
and forum postings.
