Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.35-22-generic
When I upgraded to maverick, the preferred kernel would not complete the
boot process. It would hang with an error message repeating until I do a
hard reset.
I have IBM Thinkpad X40 with two Flash cards serving as my drives. One
is the primary drive, the other one in the pcmcia slot is mounted as
/home. It appears to be stuck in trying to access the /home drive. This
process works just fine with the 2.6.32-25-generic kernel. I have had to
access the Grub menu and choose the older kernel to use the machine.
I have downloaded and tried 2 mainline current kernels. They repeat the same error as below.
(Latest is linux-image-2.6.36-999-generic_2.6.36.999.201010081132_i386.deb)
I have pulled out the lines from the kern.log that seem to relate to the
error. I am also attaching the full kern.log from the failed boot in
case I missed something.
