Please note that the 10.10 system is an upgrade from 10.04, and the
following packages are installed for intel:
ii intel-gpu-tools 1.0.2+git20100830+c935c60-0ubuntu0sarvatt tools for debugging the Intel graphics driver
ii intel-microcode 0.20100826-1ubuntu3 Processor microcode data file for Intel CPUs
ii libdrm-intel1 2.4.22+git20101010~glasen~maverick~ppa1 Userspace interface to intel-specific kernel DRM services -- runtime
ii xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.13.0+git20101013~glasen~maverick~ppa1 X.Org X server -- Intel i8xx, i9xx display driver
ii libdrm2 2.4.22+git20101010~glasen~maverick~ppa1 Userspace interface to kernel DRM services -- runtime
I will try different kernel builds:
