Public bug reported:

I was using my laptop and suddently, only my bluetooth mouse was
responding to movement but I wasn't able to do anything in Gnome. My
trackpad didn't work.

Console (CTRL+ALT+F1) did work.

Recently I also had problem with my wireless card ceasing to work until
I reboot.
