This is a desktop freeze effecting both the mouse and the keyboard.  System monitor continues to run when it happens.
I have had it happen with:
both Firefox and Opera browsers
Version 96 ,173, current, and 256 Nvidia drivers
Ubuntu 9.10 upgrade to 10.4 32 bit desktop
Clean install 10.4 32 bit
Clean install  10.4.1 32 bit desktop
Clean install 10.4.1 64 bit server
Clean install 10.10 Beta 32 bit desktop
Clean install 10.10 Beta 32 bit with latest posted updates
Clean install 10.10 Beta 64 bit server
Clean install 10.10 Beta 64 bit server with latest posted updates
Clean install 10.10 Cloud
Clean install 10.10 Cloud with latest posted updates

I have more to say, but I do not want it to freeze again... this is my third attempt to get this posted.
PLEASE Fix this POS while I retire to 9.10
