[Bug 636642] [NEW] no brightness control on gateway id59c

Public bug reported:

The brightness on my Gateway ID59C laptop doesn't respond to any
controls -- brightness applet, power management, or hotkeys. Brightness
adjusts just fine in Windows 7 on same machine. It's a brand new
computer with Intel HD graphics.
