Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.32-24-server
This is Ubuntu 10.04 running in a Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V virtual
machine.
After installing Ubuntu in the virtual machine, I was able to get up and
running the HyperV modules. Once the modules were loaded, I was able to
configure and bring up the seth0 network interface. From here, I
performed an update, which included a kernel update. Upon reboot, the
modules continued to load, but would no longer create a seth0 interface.
This results in loss of connectivity.
Loading the legacy network interface gives me eth0, but this connection
is unstable.
Booting to the previous kernel brings back a functional set of HyperV
drivers.
** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
