1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu maverick (development branch)
Release: 10.10
2) Unknown.
3) What I expected to happen is that mid-install of the Maverick Beta
Live CD:
ubuntu-10.10-beta-desktop-i386.iso
when it offers to seamlessly install downloads and shows the Available
Networks GUI, available networks are displayed.
4) What happens instead is that no networks were shown despite many
networks being in the area (mine and neighbors) as well as my wifi
switch in the On position and the indicator light was lit. As well,
after the install, Network Monitor GUI showed available wireless
networks.
