[Bug 638582] [NEW] Blank screen and then hangs after logout or shutdown using gnome

Locale is set to ja_JP (Japanese)
Computer is HP TX2 touchscreen laptop.
When logout or shutdown, the logout or shutdown operation appears to perform. However, on logout, the login screen does not come back. The screen just stays blank.
When shutdown, shutdown appears to happen except that at the end, the screen is blank but the computer remains on. It does not turn off.
