** Description changed:

I had 10.04 installed and my webcam would not be recognized. I think a
kernel update came and the camera worked. I upgraded to 10.10 and
everything works fine except the camera again. The camera shows up in
  windows just not Ubuntu. I have a HP tx2510us . I tried doing a acpi=off
at start up and it disabled my wireless card.

here is a error in the dmesg i get

I am fairly certain it is the device on port 2. It is an internal usb
  device.
