Having same problem with 2.6.31-22 on Lucid, with Dell XT. Touchpad
appears as Macintosh mouse, and synaptics driver won't load. Note that I
haven't switched to 2.6.32-xx because, so far, these make the XT's touch
screen (evtouch) go haywire. Is there any progress on this bug, since it
seems that it wasn't fixed in 2.6.31-21 as previously stated?
