I have similar  problem on a Aspire 4810T, BIOS V1.35:

Except that a second hash match is reported as well. The first supend
works but later suspends fail to resume. Sometimes the screen stays
black, sometimes the console is visible for a brief moment before the
screen remains black. Sometimes the backlight remains on with black
screen.
