Re-spins were needed because of regressions caused by follow-up changes for
CVE-2018-3639. The impact on Artful based kernels was mitigations no longer
being available on Intel CPUs (but not affecting anything beside that). For
Trusty based kernels there was an additional Oops when loading the KVM module.
