= IMPORTANT NOTICE (2025.10.13 SRU Cycle) =

Due to internal events taking place during the cycle the duration has
been extended to 5 weeks. A following normal SRU cycle would release
rather close to the end of the year. To avoid regressions / issues
persisting across the change of year, the upcoming 2025.10.13 cycle
will be the last normal SRU cycle in 2025.

For CVEs and important fixes/changes we plan to use the s2025.10.13
security cycle as a cleanup release. It will contain no upstream
stable sets and changes submitted after Oct-08 will require explicit
requesting and approval to be picked into s2025.10.13!

cycle: 13-Oct through 16-Nov (5 weeks)

08-Oct Last day for kernel commits and Nvidia graphics drivers.
13-Oct - 17-Oct Kernel prep week.
20-Oct - 14-Nov Bug verification & Regression testing.
Week of 17-Nov Release to -updates.
