This issue affects me as well though in a different location. I have an 'IOMEGA
Jaz Jet' (Advansys ABP-960U) PCI SCSI card. Just after the kernel finishes
loading the system will have a hard freeze (keyboard interface down, requires
reset switch). The line just above is:
Bringing up SCSI 

Attempted: noscsi SCSI=no ACPI=no

Origionally in the Warty LiveCD I could use noscsi and the boot would skip (it
fails at probing with advansys.ko) and continue without issue, but the Array 6
CD dies.
