The problem does not exists in the hoary live cd. This is what I get in dmesg in
hoary, when I plug it in:
usb 4-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2
usb 4-1: hald timed out on ep0in
A few moments later this was seen:
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: usb_submit_urb(ctrl) failed
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: timeout initializing reports
input: USB HID v1.10 Joystick [Logitech Logitech Dual Action] on usb-0000:00:ld.
Now, under Warty:
usb 4-1: new low speed USB device using address 2
A few moments later:
usb 4-1: control timeout on ep0in
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: ctrl urb status -2 recieved
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: usb_submit_urb(ctrl) failed
hald is dead here.
