Patch for Adaptec SAS

Hello,

how can I add a patch to the Installation kernel of Ubuntu Dapper, the 
kernel doesn't include the patch to work with Adaptec SAS Raid Controler.

There is a lot of IBM servers that have this controller and it is 
imposible to install Ubuntu in that machines.

The patch is http://linux.adaptec.com/sas/ under a GPL License.

If it is not posible to apply the patch to the official kernel: Where 
are the modules loaded in the installation in the Install CD? I found 
the kernel and the initrd image but not the modules.
