This isn't actually needed. As you can see from the Ubuntu build system,
we have to use specific defconfig's: e.g.:

make pmac32_defconfig

The reason for this is that the ARCH=powerpc build is for 64-bit and
32-bit, and defconfig cannot know which one you want. So there's one for
each.
