A fairly unscientific sampling of audio driver bug reports doesn't seem
to indicate older ALSA drivers being targets, though, just
snd-hda-intel.
Due to job move et al., I've only been able to solicit feedback in #alsa
and select HDA users in #ubuntu{,+1} (all on Freenode) on alsa-driver
1.0.15rc3's snd-hda-intel, and unfortunately the results are, as one
might suspect, rather inconclusive. Updating snd-hda-intel to that in
1.0.15rc3 appears to be better (FSVO it) than keeping the current
source.

The userspace portions are faring well.
Thanks,
