bug 191137 - hardy only boots in recovery mode

Hi Guys,

- Hardy boots only in recovery mode on VAIO FE41Z.

To summarize, a patch (commit c04209a7948b95e8c52084e8595e74e9428653d3)
went in upstream to resolve an upstream bugzilla report.  It however has
resulted in the boot issues noted above.  Subscribers to the bug have
verified that removing the patch fixes the issue.

The above bug report was only recently brought to my attention.  It
unfortunately wasn't assigned to the 'linux' kernel package but rather
Ubuntu as a whole so was being overlooked.  I'm not sure if some sort of
quirk support can be added at this point since we currently supposed to
be frozen.
