AUFS: status?

This particular issue is very critical to Ubuntu Mobile (bug #264048) [1]

This is the better option in my opinion since we have now made the
commitment to the 2.6.27 kernel for Intrepid. Unfortunately, I have
been tied up with a bunch of stuff including travel, so I haven't had
a chance to fix this. So if you can provide a patch to update aufs to
the latest code upstream, we can get it intregrated.
