Greetings,
I'm having a terrible time trying to make a tiny change in a device
driver (ftdi_sio) because I can't find the source code for Ubuntu 9.10.
I hope you can steer me to it with little trouble.
I don't find packages in the form of linux-ubuntu-modules-$(uname -r)
and can only find 2 candidates - linux-source-2.6.31 which synaptic's
package manager says has the latest version of 2.6.31-14.48, and
linux-ec2-soucre-2.6.31 (latest version of 2.6.31-302.7), but when I
build them and attempt to insmod ftdi_sio.ko, I get an error 'unknown
symbol'.
I've downloaded from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/9.10/release/source/
Linux-source-2.6.31.tar and applied the patch linux-2.6.31-14.48.diff.gz
but get the same 'unknown symbol' error.
Could someone be kind and give me a hint where the official Ubuntu
repository for Karmic might be?
I'd appreciate it!
Jay
