These patches have been included upstream for 2.6.29-rc1, 
last time I had asked Tim to include they were only in the x86-tip
tree. 

The reason I had to do a manual backport was because the x86
architecture specific header files were moved into
arch/x86/include...,in 2.6.28-rc1, which meant the headers files to be
patched were missing in intrepid tree (2.6.27 based) and hence the
patches didn't apply as-is.

Also please note that, each of the patch description has the git commit
id from mainline.
