I have been unable to successfully boot with the generic kernel due to
module compilation issues. The mainline kernel (2.6.28.9 for Jaunty)
was built with gcc 4.2 (according to the nvidia driver installer) and
so I cannot readily build the nvidia module against the mainline
kernel. Unfortunately, I believe this is necessary because I need to
be able to run mythtv with the tuner in question to see the issue.

Further, I looked for the Linux package on launchpad.net, but it says
that the bugs are maintained outside of launchpad for the Linux
package. It transfers me right back to bugzilla.kernel.org where the
original bug was filed.

Please let me know if there is anything further I can do to help out.

Thanks
